New Zealand Licensing Trusts Assoc.
The New Zealand Licensing Trust Association is a membership organisation for the 16 licensing and community trusts that are governed by the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act in New Zealand.
The Association executive assists with an insurance collective, resources, lobbying, regular meet ups for senior managers and trust presidents, and an annual conference.
The Association’s member trusts own a variety of businesses in New Zealand including hotels, bars, commercial buildings, social houses and conference centres.
Traditionally the member trusts had a monopoly on the sale of alcohol products in their local areas, but the majority of our communities have voted to move to an open competition model.
Collectively the Association trust members employ over 1,600 staff and distribute over $30,000,000 in annual profits or gaming grant distributions to their local communities.
No two trusts are the same, but at their heart they are community owned and focussed on providing the best possible returns to their local communities in a safe and responsible way.
